Well, it's no solo Black Widow movie, but a super-powered Scarlett Johnasson? Where to do we buy tickets?

Between 'La Femme Nikita' and 'The Professional,' Luc Besson has a penchant for creating memorable female action heroes. He's looking to add to that roster with this summer's 'Lucy,' which casts Scarlett Johansson as a drug mule who accidentally swallows what she's transporting and finds herself gifted with superpowers. Um, yeah. Okay. We can get behind that premise.

Our first look at Johansson in the title role debuted over at EW and it's exactly what you'd expect. She looks tough and sexy and ready to empty a gun into a bad guy's face. After 'The Avengers' and the 'Captain America' movies, we're ready and willing to watch a dozen films where an armed and dangerous Johansson pulverizes anyone who stands between her and her goal.

“I love to see a woman as a very strong character," said Besson. "It’s like cooking: sugar with a
bit of salt, and Lucy definitely can get salty.” If she's half as cool as his more memorable protagonists, Johansson's Lucy will certainly be a heroine to keep an eye on.

'Lucy,' which also stars Morgan Freeman, will open in theaters on August 8, 2014. The first trailer will hit the internet on April 2.
