More than another Defender series, Luke Cage is building a tremendous amount of anticipation for its musical stylings, including Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad composing. Episode titles are even named for hip-hop duo Gang Starr, for which showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker now reveals the first three.

Promising to unveil new episode titles each Friday until the September 30 premiere, Coker tweeted out the first three episode titles for the highly-anticipated Marvel series. Among other major musical influences lined up for the series, Coker has revealed Raphael Saadiq, Faith Evans, Jadakiss and Charles Bradley making appearances, with tracks from Jidenna, Mahalia Jackson, Nina Simone and John Lee Hooker.

Netflix’s Luke Cage will feature among its supporting cast Sons of Anarchy vet Theo Rossi as “Shades” Alvarez, alongside Mahershala Ali’s Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard, Erik LaRay Harvey’s Diamondback, Frank Whaley’s Detective Rafael Scarfe and Simone Missick’s Misty Knight. Additionally, Rosario Dawson is confirmed to her reprise her role as Claire Temple for a more significant arc.
