We’ll be able to get our hands on Marvel’s Netflix Luke Cage as early as this Friday, but who couldn’t do with one last trailer? The third Defender series’ musical influence is more center stage than ever in the latest look, as Luke Cage even meets Method Man on one of his heroic deeds.

Yahoo released the final trailer for Luke Cage ahead of its Friday release, featuring Harlem’s not-quite Hero for Hire kicking some major ass around the neighborhood. There’s new looks at Misty Knight and Claire Temple, and even the series’ villains, but how many series can say they sport a title hero gleefuly swapping hoodies with hip-hop legends?

Says the official synopsis:

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Netflix’s Luke Cage will feature among its supporting cast Sons of Anarchy vet Theo Rossi as “Shades” Alvarez, alongside Mahershala Ali’s Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard, Erik LaRay Harvey’s Diamondback, Frank Whaley’s Detective Rafael Scarfe and Simone Missick’s Misty Knight. Additionally, Rosario Dawson is confirmed to her reprise her role as Claire Temple for a more significant arc.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more news of Luke Cage’s Friday premiere!
