Get Ready for ‘Mad Men’ Season 5 With an All-New…Video Game?

If there's one thing 'Mad Men' takes an occasional critique for, its the slow-burn storytelling that sometimes simmers for seasons at a time.  Well, what better way to take back control in time for the upcoming premiere of 'Mad Men' season 5 than with a choose-your-own-adventure style game?

YouTubers The Fine Brothers, previously responsible for such gems as the 'Saved by the Bell' interactive game,  have seen fit to lovingly craft a choose-your-own-adventure style 8-bit 'Mad Men' video game that brings all your favorite Sterling-Cooper-Draper-Pryce to life in all their pixelated glory.  And just in time for season 5, this Sunday!

The game (complete with its own endlessly watchable 8-bit title credits) allows you to assume the role of Don Draper, choosing one of multiple branching paths in order to restore the former Dick Whitman's confidence, new ideas and inner peace in order to turn around the business in the wake of the Lucky Strike scandal witnessed last season.  Along the way, depending on which character path you choose, you'll have to take care to avoid some of the pitfalls that might end in the most vicious of triple D's: Don Draper dead!

It might not be as overtly clever as some of the other inspired video game parodies we've seen like 'Breaking Bad' or 'Battlestar Galactica,' but at least this one allows you to choose the outcome on your own!  Spend some time playing through the game while you wait for the 'long-awaited season 5 premiere of Mad Men, which debuts Sunday, March 25th with 2-hour episode "A Little Kiss," 9:00 p.m. on AMC.
