In something of an off-hand comment, Russell Crowe mentioned on Twitter that he's been receiving lots of questions regarding a 'Man of Steel' prequel, one that would be set entirely on Krypton and focus on his character, Jor-El. He then mentioned he's very open to the idea, but are you?

We all know that Warner Bros. is full-speed ahead with 'Man of Steel 2,' having already set screenwriter David Goyer and director Zack Snyder as the key components of the sequel. The turnout for the first film has guaranteed that we'll be getting more Superman action; it has made just below $600 million worldwide in less than a month.

So while further adventures of Superman/Clark Kent are inevitable, it's interesting to consider the possibility of exploring the Krypton story a little further, as that section of the film appears to be quite appreciated by a large number of fans. Jor-El, his wife Lara (Ayelet Zurer) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) would presumably be the main characters, but there's a whole world (literally) of things to be discovered.

So, theoretically, would you be more excited about a 'Man of Steel' prequel, or a traditional sequel? Vote in our poll below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
