It’s still not entirely clear how FXX measures a threshold with which to renew its comedies, but consider Jay Baruchel’s delightfully absurd Man Seeking Woman safe for another season. FX and FXX have officially confirmed the 2017 renewal, sending on around round of dating misadventures.

Despite a relatively low profile, Man Seeking Woman actually finished up Season 2 with its highest audience yet, averaging 399,000 total viewers. Following the renewal, all ten episodes of Season 3 will debut on FXX in early 2017. Says FXX:

Man Seeking Woman had another great season this year and continues to offer one of the smartest and funniest takes on dating and relationships on TV today. We are excited to move forward on a third season of Man Seeking Woman with Simon, Jonathan, Andrew, Ian and Lorne, and thank Jay, Eric and Britt for keeping the show so enjoyable.

For those unfamiliar, FXX’s Man Seeking Woman draws from SNL writer Simon Rich’s book The Last Girlfriend on Earth, starring Baruchel as Josh Greenberg, along with comedian Eric André as best friend Mike and Britt Lower as Josh’s older sister Liz.
