After this summer's surprise success of 'Ted,' it was no surprise that Universal was looking to make a sequel as quickly as possible, and if what Mark Wahlberg is saying is true, we may get it sooner than you'd think.

Wahlberg was making the press rounds, and told Collider that his game plan is to shoot 'Transformers 4' first this summer, and then move directly into 'Ted 2' (or whatever it is eventually titled). Wahlberg had this to say: "“We’re shooting Transformers in May, and then I believe we’re gonna do Ted 2 right after.  They’re working on it now and we’ve kind of gone through the negotiation process.  The great thing about it is Seth (MacFarlane)’s ideas for the second one are sick."

The news on 'T4' is no surprise as the film already has a June 27, 2014 release date, but 'Ted 2' has been rumored but not confirmed. The big holdout would be director/co-writer/co-star Seth MacFarlane, who - as we recently reported - has also signed up for a comic western. But as that film is set up with the same company that would be making 'Ted 2,' it's likely that either both will be done back to back, or that 'Ted 2' will be given priority because the first film was such a smash hit. 'Ted' grossed $218 Million domestically and over half a billion worldwide, making it the eighth highest grossing film of the year and the sequel an inevitability.
