For all the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' discussion taking place over the last week, hammering out its many flaws in only five episodes, the ABC 'Avengers'-adjacent series will return next week with its spookiest mystery yet in "FZZT." The first clip from the floaty-new episode has arrived, but is something more sinister afoot to the floating bodies we've seen thus far?

HuffPostTV managed to score the first clip from the episode, specifically a "FZZT" cold open that sees a group of campers spooked by the appearance of electrical and floating disturbances, one of which claims the life of a scout master. No doubt Coulson's team will soon arrive to investigate, but say, didn't we notice a few items getting all strangely-floaty in the first 'Thor: The Dark World' trailer? Might we be seeing some synergy at work for the upcoming release?

Here's what ABC had to say about next week's "FZZT," which also returns 'Item 47' star Titus Welliver into the mix as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Blake:

“FZZT” – When floating bodies turn up, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D must hunt down an elusive killer. No one is safe–not even the team–on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on the ABC Television Network.

Guest starring are Titus Welliver as Agent Blake, Vincent Laresca as Tony Diaz, Robert Maffia as Baker, David Michael Paul as Justin, Rick Gifford as Adam Cross, Thomas Robie as scout #1, Trevor Larcom as scout #2, Caleb Burgess as scout #3, Jake Brennan as scout #4 and Troy Glass as scout #5.

So, what do we think? Another tangential 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' mystery with a dash of 'Fringe' thrown in for good measure? Might we be seeing something otherworldly at work? Check out the first preview clip of "FZZT" above, and give us your 'Agents of SHIELD' predictions in the comments!
