Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition Will Run on the Same Engine
We might not have to wait until mankind discovers the Mass Relays in order to get our hands on Mass Effect 4, since the team at BioWare won't have to start from scratch.
According to VG247, Yanick Roy, BioWare Montreal's studio director, recently posted the design document for the next Mass Effect on Twitter.
When Twitter user Shinobi602 said that the design document makes it seem as if the game will take years of development and waiting, Roy responded with this:
So it seems like the greatest barometer for how the next Mass Effect will feel is to play Dragon Age: Inquisition when it's released next year.
Of course, we still have a long wait until we see the new hero in Mass Effect and what kind of adventures we'll have, but we know for sure that we'll get an all-new, Shepard-free experience running on Frostbite 3.0.
