Hey, remember Masterminds? We saw the first trailer for the film last year, when it was originally set to hit theaters in August. But the latest comedy from Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess fell victim to Relativity Studios’ bankruptcy and was pushed back to this September — well over a year after its original release date. Now that it’s finally seeing the light of day (or the dark of the theater, whatever), Masterminds has a new trailer to remind you that A. It is definitely hitting theaters soon, and B. There are some very good reasons to see it.

Masterminds is based on the true story of one of the biggest robberies in U.S. history, which was perpetrated by the most unlikely group of criminals. Zach Galifianakis plays…well, he’s basically playing a Danny McBride character; a simple guy whose ambitions have given him a little too much confidence. In an effort to impress his co-worker (Kristen Wiig), he agrees to participate in the robbery scheme she cooked up with her husband.

But I think we can all agree that Kate McKinnon is the best part of this trailer with her glorious, trailer park-formal wedding gown. More of that, please.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In this action comedy based on true events, directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite; Nacho Libre), David Ghantt (Zach Galifianakis) discovers the true meaning of adventure far beyond his wildest dreams. He is an uncomplicated man stuck in a monotonous life. Day in and day out he drives an armored vehicle, transporting millions of other people’s money with no escape in sight. The only glimmer of excitement is his flirtatious work crush Kelly Campbell (Kristen Wiig) who soon lures him into the scheme of a lifetime.

Masterminds also stars Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Leslie Jones, Ken Marino, Jon Daly and Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and hits theaters (FINALLY) on September 30.
