Hideo Kojima has turned up the heat for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's character design. According to the prolific director, it's all part of the plan to make the new characters more interesting to cosplayers... and the marketability sure doesn't hurt.

Kojima took to his Twitter account to discuss his intentions with character design, all of which came about due to the interest of an unnamed fan in portraying Quiet at Tokyo Game Show.

Kojima related he'd be releasing the CGI art for Quiet this Friday for everyone, but warned even she might be too erotic, and difficult to cosplay. Then he teased what he meant with the above picture of Quiet's posterior. It's not out of the realm of possibility for a cosplayer to pull something like that off, but it's definitely a bit more overtly sexual than we've seen from Metal Gear in the past.

Still, we're eager to see the rest of the characters, and more importantly, more of MGS5. And to be honest, getting to see what some talented cosplayers can do with Yoji Shinkawa's designs will be cool, too.
