After spending the last five years making three 'Transformers' movies, Michael Bay decided to take a break and make his "Small" movie. Considering it's Michael Bay, and stars Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, we're curious to see how small his 'Pain and Gain' is. We'll know for sure April 26, 2013, when it hits theaters.

The film is about (according to wikipedia) "a couple of Florida steroid-abusing knucklehead bodybuilders who become criminals involved in an extortion ring and a kidnapping plot that goes horribly awry" and is based on a true story that is likely too dark to be uses in its entirety. We shall see, as Bay has an amoral streak in him that often comes out when he's at his most entertaining (see: 'Bad Boys II').

The late April release date is a risky choice. It's the same date that 'Fast Five' had, and that worked like gangbusters for that movie, but it's also a bet-hedged release date. Often films open right before the summer season starts only to die quick deaths. In this case 'Pain and Gain' comes out a week before 'Iron Man 3,' where 'Fast Five' was going up against 'Thor,' which did not have the same want-to-see factor 'IM3' will. Regardless, we're curious to see how this film turns out.

Update: Here's the poster.
