First Look: Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore as Mom and Daughter in ‘LOL’
No that isn't a typo, 'LOL' is really a movie that's being released by Lionsgate and Mandate Pictures. They're making sure that the world knows about this film with the reveal of several new images that can be seen at the jump. It's Miley Cyrus y'all!
Given the fact that we have so many abbreviations that we use in order to communicate with others in this digital age, it was inevitable that a movie would have this title. However, there's a lot more that's going on with 'LOL' other than the fact that they're touching upon the youth's ability to text and tweet at a rapid rate with using as many incorrectly spelled words as possible.
'LOL' is based off the French movie made in 2008 by Lisa Azuelos. She's back in the director's chair for the American version of her film which stars Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene, Douglas Booth and Thomas Jane.
Starting a new year of high school, Lola (Cyrus), (or “Lol,” as her friends call her), works to find the right balance between family, school, friends and romance. Broken-hearted by her ex, Lol’s world is soon turned upside down when she is surprised to find her best friend, Kyle (Booth), a musician in an up and coming rock band, could possibly be the love of her life. In her quest towards independence, self-identity and young adulthood, Lol discovers that while Facebook “status” is easy to change; true relationships are worth the effort.
