Minecraft Continues Moving Millions on the Xbox 360
Mojang and 4J Studios surpassed yet another sales milestone this past week for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.
It’s not often Xbox Live Arcade titles will continue selling millions upon millions a year after release, but Minecraft continues to defy expectations at nearly every turn. Late last Friday, 4J Studios announced the incredibly popular port surpassed eight million copies sold.

Selling multiple millions is challenging enough for many developers, but Mojang and 4J Studios have made success appear easy on consoles. It’s a rare feat, and one that doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. Minecraft’s sales have been consistently impressive since its release last summer, and with an Xbox One version already planned, it looks like double-digit millions are just within arm’s reach.
