Just when you thought it was safe to get back into 'Modern Family,' more members of the cast have jumped onto the "we like money" bandwagon, causing yet another headache to be ironed out in advance of production on 'Modern Family' season 4.  This time, it's the kids looking to follow in the grown-ups footsteps by banding together for a salary raise, but will they succeed?  And what's this about  a new dog?

The 'Modern Family' salary drama continues, as now the shows younger co-stars are looking to follow in the cumulative pay increase that older cast members Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara and Ed O’Neill secured for themselves, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Having waited until the adults settled their affairs, now its likely that Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Ariel Winter will have their contracts re-negotiated as well, seeking not only a pay increase but deals for an eighth season along with their older cast-mates.

Sarah Hyland, the eldest of the younger 'Family' members at 21, is considered to be at a slightly elevated place than her younger co-stars, and thus will likely re-negotiate her contract separately.  Whereas the adults' salary jumped from about $65,000 an episode to upwards of $170,000, the children's salary negotiations will be considerably lower.  Though only an estimate, the younger stars currently earn between $10,000 and $20,000 an episode.  The younger actors aren't expected to receive any piece of the back-end, either.

Certainly, the young star negotiations won't cause as much drama as their older counterparts, which saw all but Ed O'Neill bailing on the first season 4 table read, and filing a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox TV.  Production shouldn't experience any interruption, though surely thing will run smoother than with canine star Brigitte playing Jay Pritchett's French bulldog Stella, who was quietly replaced with a look-alike named Beatrice for the upcoming season.

What say you?  Do the child stars of 'Modern Family' deserve a raise like their adult co-stars?  Do you think 'Modern Family' will end up delayed with all the renegotiations?  Sound off in the comments below!
