Every year Time Magazine shuffles through the millions upon millions of people that live across the world and are able to pin down their Top 100 Most Influential People. Okay, maybe they had a little bit of help choosing some of the people through how much they showed up on the news, but they still had a lot of people to go through.

Let's cast aside for a minute all of the politicians, the humanitarians or even the athletes and focus on the entertainment side of this list. Some of the choices have to do with the fact that some of these people were breakout stars of this past year (Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Kristen Wiig) while others continue on to fight the good fight of giving us quality entertainment for years on end (Chelsea Handler, Harvey Weinstein, Louis C.K.).

Obviously one of the least surprising, and most deserving, name that you would imagine would pop onto this list is Viola Davis. She's been working in the movie industry roughly for the past twenty years and finally had her time to shine with her wonderful performance in 'The Help.' Granted, she didn't walk home with an Oscar in her hands, but she did make an impression on people around the world with her strong personality and acting skill.

Go ahead and take a look at who made the cut on the entertainment side in Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World. If you want to look at the rest of the list, which yes, does include Jeremy Lin, check out Time's official website.
