USA breakout Mr. Robot managed to keep plenty of surprises in store for its first season, as likely will it for Season 2, but we’re finally getting our first real intel. Not only have two fan-favorites been elevated to regular for Season 2, but also the latest additions tease some surprising developments for Elliot and the terrifying Joanna.

Be warned of a few Mr. Robot Season 2 spoilers from here on out, but USA has officially confirmed that both Michael Cristofer and Stephanie Corneliussen have joined the cast full time, the former in his role as Evil Corp CEO Phillip Price, and the latter as Tyrell Wellick’s increasingly-frightful spouse Joanna.

Joanna’s Season 2 elevation raises at least a few eyebrows, given that the Golden Globe-winning drama’s second year has also added Chris Conroy as Derek, “the young, attractive new man in Joanna’s life. Their intimate moments leave Derek infatuated with the Danish beauty.” So … no news on whatever happened to Tyrell, then?

Additionally, rapper Joey Bada$$ will make his TV debut as recurring guest star Leon, described as a new close friend of Elliot’s from the neighborhood who often talks excessively to the young hacker, advising him and philosophizing the meanings of life. USA’s release also notes that Ben Rappaport and Tom Riis Farrell will also return as Ollie and Bill.

Previously, Mr. Robot Season 2 added Grace Gummer in the role of Dominique (Dom) DiPierro, “a young FBI field agent investigating the Evil Corp Hack. She uses her instinctive skills to try and track down the fsociety members and find answers.”

Set to direct all ten episodes himself, creator Esmail previously teased of Season 2 a few aspects of the first season were less real than anyone might have realized, also confirming a reason behind the absence of Elliot’s sister Darlene (Carley Chaikin) from a Times Square hallucination of his family. The series is currently eyeing a summer Season 2 premiere on USA.

For those unaware, Mr. Robot centers around Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young cybersecurity engineer struggling with social anxiety and clinical depression, who moonlights as a cyber-vigilante hacker. He is recruited by a mysterious anarchist known as “Mr. Robot” (Christian Slater), and joins his “fsociety” group in order to wipe out sinister international conglomerate E[vil] Corp. The series also stars Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström and House of Cards alum Michel Gill.

More details will likely emerge in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for the latest on Mr. Robot Season 2.
