The new “adult” Muppets series didn’t exactly pan out for ABC, so the franchise might need a bit of rehab with by returning to youngest generation. Enter a new Muppet Babies TV series in the works for 2018, the first photo of which feel much more familiar that the last series ever could.

Disney Junior has confirmed a new CG iteration of the classic 1984 series will hit TV in early 2018, again set to “chronicle the playroom antics of Kermit, Piggy, Animal, and more. Even Miss Nanny will be returning.” Each episode will feature two 11-minute stories geared to ages 4-7, and will “highlight creative and critical thinking.”

Says Disney of the new venture:

We are proud, and a little bit giddy, to begin production on our new version of the much-loved Muppet Babies. Parents will delight in seeing their favorite Muppets in the mixed animation style they remember from the original series, and kids will be introduced to this warm and zany world made just right for the Disney Junior audience.

The original series ran from 1984 to 1991, but will a new Muppet Babies have so enduring an appeal? Either way, we’re all old as s---, guys.
