Mysterious New ‘Prometheus’ Image Hints At…Something

Earlier today, the official 'Prometheus' Twitter feed linked to the cryptic, yet beautiful, image you see above - the culmination of a new part of the film's viral marketing campaign. So what exactly are we looking at?

The above photo is a much larger representation (see it in hi-res here) of a brief glimpse :42 into the film's teaser trailer. In the trailer, you can see some of the glowing objects (which look like planets or galaxies) rotating and expanding as the human character standing in the middle spreads their arms, leading us to believe this is some sort of holographic stellar map room.

While we're not 100% on this, it would appear that is Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), the Weyland Corp. employee leading the explorers, in the middle of the room. But what is she doing there? The room looks alien in origin and has a sizable hole in the floor, which leads us to believe this room belongs to the Space Jockey (very likely the same room seen here).

Of course, this is all speculation at this point, as no one really knows what to expect from 'Prometheus'. But it sure is fun trying to figure it all out. Give it your best guess in the comments.
