After a few false starts, EA Sports is finally bringing NBA Live 14 back in a big way.

Kyrie Irving is the star of the brief trailer for NBA Live 14, but the real focus is EA's new BounceTek feature. Yes, E3 was filled with new buzzwords such as BounceTek, which is a new bit of physics programming giving the basketball its independence from the player. Similar to what FIFA has used for the past few iterations, now the ball is no longer "glued" to your player, and it can react dynamically to what's happening in the game.

As there's very little real gameplay on display, all we're truly left with is a very pretty rendered trailer. The presentation looks nice enough, but EA's failing has always been in the core mechanics. We'll just have to wait and see if NBA Live 14 can bring EA up to NBA 2K's level.
