NBC’s DC office comedy Powerless skipped out on a first trailer by its midseason placement, but with a full debut scheduled for Comic-Con 2016, the series has at least a few new details to offer. New interviews with the cast tease not only the first official DC villain featured in the show, but additional details of the main characters.

DC All-Access released a new preview of NBC’s Powerless comedy, albeit without any additional footage, but nonetheless confirming that “Jack O’Lantern” would serve as the first DC villain opposite Crimson Fox. Exactly which incarnation of the Jack O’Lantern character remains to be seen, but character is best known as a former Global Guardians member who became a Justice League Europe villain.

The single-camera series is described as an Office-type comedy without any actual superheroes, set at “one of the worst insurance companies in America — with the twist being that it also takes place in the universe of DC Comics. The show is about the reality of working life for a normal, powerless person in a world of superheroes and villains.”

Bowing at midseason, Powerless also has a new synopsis:

Powerless is the story of Emily (Hudgens), a young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused when Super Heroes and Super Villains treat the city like their own personal battleground. Taking care of insurance needs one by one, Emily and her team of co-workers might not have any superpowers but they are out to make a difference in people’s lives and prove that you don’t need to have powers to be powerful!

Firefly favorite Alan Tudyk will play Del, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens)’s superior Del, as well as the company owner’s son and “a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss,” while Community alum Danny Pudi will play Teddy, Emily’s best work friend, trusted confidante and office prankster. Christina Kirk will play Jackie, superhero fan and assistant to Tudyk’s Del, buckling under the pressure.

A to Z alum Ben Queen will shepherd the series, executive producing with pilot director Michael Patrick Jann. We’ll hear more closer to midseason, and check out the Powerless trailer below, while it lasts.
