While NBC's Upfront presentations have delivered conclusive renewal and cancellation reports, as well as fall scheduling placements, 'Hannibal' fans have noted the absence of either a season 2 announcement or a place on the schedule in the immediate future. NBC has yet to decide whether Bryan Fuller's darkly delicious 'Hannibal' will live to see a second season, but find out when the decision will be made inside!

If you're anything like us, you've been worried for the state of NBC's 'Hannibal' given the meager ratings and somewhat jumbled schedule. One episode disappeared from the schedule out of sensitivity to the Boston Bombings, later making its way online, while this Thursday's "Fromage" will air with limited commercials to accommodate the super-sized 'Office' series finale.

Not only that, but the exclusion of 'Hannibal' from any of NBC's Upfront announcements had fans concerned for the series, while thankfully series creator Bryan Fuller stepped in to tell BuzzFeed that the network won't make their decision until the coming weeks. "They’re being very close to the vest. But they’re saying [NBC president] Bob Greenblatt doesn’t want to make a decision right away. So we may not hear until next week, or the week after. It’s hard to say.”

The prospects for 'Hannibal' certainly look good despite the ratings, given all the critical buzz and strong international marketing, though a second season of 'Hannibal' wouldn't likely air until early-mid 2014 anyway. We certainly hope it goes through, given the rich casting Bryan Fuller has in mind for 'Hannibal' season 2.

Well, what say you? Are you optimistic about a second season of NBC's 'Hannibal?' How have you been enjoying the show thus far? Watch the latest trailer below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
