Late last night we heard rumors that former '30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin had entered negotiations with NBC for a late-night talk show of his own, potentially filling the slot currently occupied by 'The Voice' host Carson Daly's own series 'Last Call.' Now, NBC has reportedly renewed 'Last Call' with Carson Daly for a 13th season, but does it put to bed any future with Alec Baldwin?

Alec Baldwin might still look for a late-night hosting gig in his future, but NBC's 'Last Call' with Carson Daly won't prove the last call after all. NBC has officially renewed the late late-night talk series for a thirteenth season with Daly, squashing any rumors that Baldwin's potential late-night series would replace Carson's slot.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Carson who has broken the mold, creating his own unique late-night show format with Last Call,” said Paul Telegdy, president, alternative and late night at NBC. “The show has become a platform for emerging artists – and Carson’s engaging interview style has made it the place for insightful conversations with an eclectic group of new stars as well as established icons and news makers.” Daly himself adds:

I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished with Last Call. I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to collaborate with this incredible team. We are always looking to give viewers something new and fresh that they can’t find anywhere else on television. I’m grateful to have the chance to continue doing what I love the most.

It remains to be seen if Alec Baldwin will seek out another avenue for late-night hosting, but what say you? Are you happy to see 'Last Call' with Carson Daly sticking around?
