Ambitious though it was, post-apocalyptic power drama Revolution just couldn’t keep the lights on at NBC past a second season, joining the annals of fan-favorite series in desperate need of a revival. Well, good news! Revolution’s creators will finally grant that revival, drafting a series finale to be presented as a four-part digital comic from the original writing staff.

As illustrated by DC Comics’ Angel Hernandez, the first of four new Revolution chapters will debut on May 4 at ComicBook.com, and subsequently each week on Facebook. Near of the entire original staff will return for the effort, including executive producers Eric Kripke, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Rockne S. O’Bannon and Jon Favreau, while writers David Reed and Ryan Parrott penned the four chapters with help from the team.

Dear Revolutionaries, Patriots, and Soldiers of the Monroe Militia,So first of all—thank you. Seriously. Sincerely....

It’s no Netflix revival (or even NBC, considering all they’re dredging up these days), but Revolution fans can at last rest easy, with the lights out. How should the two-season power epic end when the first issue premieres on May 4?
