New ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Teaser Has Deadly Forks, Y’all

And they had been doing so well.  The latest 'American Horror Story: Asylum' teaser predictably hit the web today, though we're not sure why they keep bothering after releasing a ton of photos, and even a new teaser that lifted the veil off the Ryan Murphy horror thriller's second season.  Looks like its back to the cutting drawing board for now, as 'American Horror Story' forks things up with yet another creepy, meaningless promo...

No, we're not kidding you.  Throw aliens, bloody faces, Nazis and raves at us, but please spare us the fork, 'American Horror Story!'  Yet another teaser has appeared on the show's Facebook page, and it may yet have taken the cake for the most nonsensical tease.  In the most recent look at 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' someone presses a fork into their leg.  And it kind of turns grey.  Seriously, there isn't even any blood!

It's at this point that we'd like to remind you that at some point in the recent past, a meeting was held to plot out a shoot, a crew was paid to film, and an editor organized the footage...of someone pressing a fork into their leg.  'American Horror Story: Asylum,' everybody!

Debuting on Wednesday, October 1, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ boasts a cast that includes ‘The Bourne Identity’ actress Franka Potente, ‘The Voice‘ judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, ‘Step Up’s Jenna Dewan,‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ star Chris Zylka, Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.

Also returning from the first season are Jessica Lange, upgraded  series regular Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe.  All will be playing new characters independent of the first season in the show’s rebooted 1960′s asylum setting, which Lange’s character presides over.
