New ‘Avengers 2’ Images Reveal Some Surprising Faces
By all accounts (namely the lucky few who have managed to see it already), the marketing for Avengers: Age of Ultron has managed to keep many of the film’s biggest surprises safely hidden away. However, with a little more than two weeks remaining until most audiences can see the film, a few little pieces of plot and a couple reveals have begun to leak out. A new batch of photos from the film contain familiar imagery, but they also contain a few tiny surprises that some fans may want to see in theaters. You decide whether or not you wish to proceed...
Couldn’t resist, couldn’t you?
Amidst the familiar images of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Black Widow striking poses and making their costumes look really good are a few things to note. First, there’s a shot of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson (who you may better know as the Falcon) hanging out at Avengers headquarters, brushing shoulders with Tony Stark. We knew that Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes was going to be present at this particular party scene (as we’ve seen in the trailers), but it’s nice to see that Steve Rogers’ best friend also got an invitation.
Even more interesting is the shot of Ultron and Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis), an arms dealer and future Black Panther villain. None of the trailers have given any details about how Klaw fits into the movie, but now we know he does end up dealing with the titular metal menace directly. Is he a willing or unwilling ally?
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.
