Boy, that Schmidt sure has it in with the cougars.  Where earlier it was announced for 'New Girl' season 2 that 'This is 40' star Leslie Mann would portray a shot girl for Schmidt (Max Greenfield)'s re-launch party, a role that had to be swapped out for Parker Posey, now another lovely lady has walked into his life.  Carla Gugino will take a role in the coming season, to begin on September 25, but how contractually steamy are things going to get?

Per Entertainment Weekly, we've learned that 'New Girl' season 2 has added yet another dose of star power to its sophomore year, casting 'Political Animals' star Carla Gugino for three episodes in the role of Schmidt's new boss Emma, beginning with the show's seventh episode this November.  Don't be fooled by her sweet exterior however, as Emma reveals herself to be a complete sex control freak, forcing Schmidt to sign a contract that binds him solely to her, a la '50 Shades of Grey.'

Schmidt isn't the only one with a new (old) lady in his life however, as TVGuide reveals Nick will also bump into his college girlfriend Amelia ('Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'Eagleheart' star Maria Thayer) in the show's Halloween episode.

Both actresses join a star-studded season that includes Rob Riggle, ‘Justified’s Raymond Barry, ‘Traffic Light’ star Nelson Franklin as Cece’s new boyfriend, ‘The Book of Mormon’ star Josh Gad, ‘Bent’ star David Walton as a bad-boy sex interest for Jess, and former ‘Reno 911!’ star Niecy Nash as a street hooker after Jess’ purse.  Rachel Harris will also reprise her role as the principal of Jess’ school, though judging by what we’ve heard about Jess’ future, she won’t have good news.

What say you?  Can Carla Gugino put the woman in 'New Girl?'  Who else might the show cast for season 2?  Give us your picks in the comments!
