'The Book of Mormon' may still be burning up Broadway, but its leads are having no trouble finding work elsewhere.  Not only have we seen Andrew Rannells on 'Girls,' as well as both 'Rannels' and co-star Josh Gad landing roles in NBC pilots 'The New Normal' and '1600 Penn' respectively, but now Gad is looking for a FOX.  The former Elder Gad will next set his sights on 'New Girl's Zooey Deschanel!

E! Online reports that former 'The Book of Mormon' and upcoming '1600 Penn' star Josh Gad will make a bit of a detour on his way to NBC, stopping by FOX's 'New Girl' for the quirky comedy's two-episode September 25 season premiere!  Gad will take the role of "Bearclaw," a delivery guy who brings beer to the bar where Nick (Jake Johnson) works, who tries to get Jess to notice him.

No stranger to TV, the Tony Award-nominated Gad recently guested on 'Modern Family,' and has made prior appearances on both 'Californication' and 'Bored to Death.' The 'Book of Mormon' star will also play Steve Wozniak to Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs in next year's 'Jobs.'

Gad also joins the growing number of guest stars for 'New Girl' season 2, including frequent Judd Apatow star (and spouse) Leslie Mann as a "shot girl" who catches Schmidt's eye, 'Bent' star David Walton as a bad-boy sex interest for Jess, and former 'Reno 911!' star Niecy Nash as a street hooker after Jess' purse.  Rachel Harris will also reprise her role as the principal of Jess' school, though judging by what we've heard recently, she won't have good news.

What say you?  Are you excited to see Gad pop up on 'New Girl' season 2?  Do you think Bearclaw has any shot of wooing Jess?  Tell us what you're looking forward to seeing in the comments below!
