'Looper' is one of our most anticipated movies of 2012 simply because it marks the return of director Rian Johnson, who blew us away with his previous films, 'Brick' and 'The Brothers Bloom.' But a Rian Johnson film about time travel starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis? Oh, man. Let's get in line right now. Anyway, the film's pretty awesome new poster isn't going to make the wait any easier.

The poster is a Hollywood rarity in that is emphasizes mood over giant photoshopped heads surrounded by sparks and debris. It's atmospheric, a little creepy and showcases some future technology that looks like it was built in someone's basement rather than the Apple labs. For those of you who don't know, the film is about criminals from the future using illegal time travel technology to send their victims to the past, where they're killed where/when no one will ever find the body. Then, one day, one of the past hitmen (Gordon-Levitt) finds himself tasked with killing his future self (Willis). How cool does that sound?
