We’re less than two weeks away from the release of Sir Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus,’ the director’s return to science-fiction that may (or may not) be a prequel to his seminal ‘Alien.’ Clues to the links between Scott's classic creature feature and his upcoming deep-space thriller have been scattered across the Internet via trailers, teasers, viral videos and hi-res images. Now we're got two more TV spots for 'Prometheus' junkies to study, frame by glorious frame.

The clips are titled “Invitation” and “Explain.” ‘Prometheus,’ as you probably know, stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce as space voyagers embarking on a mission to discover the moment that existence came to be. What they find … well, it’s worse.

Here are the spots. The set up ... we'll, see for yourself. The movie opens on June 8. If it's as good as we anticipate, it might be the event-movie of the summer.

“Invitation”

“Explain”
