October seems like a lifetime away, but that doesn't seem so bad in comparison with 'Supernatural's Dean Winchester, whom we know to have spent a full year in Purgatory following the events of season 7's epic finale "Survival of the Fittest."  Things won't get any easier for Dean once he's reunited with his brother Sam, as a new quest is quickly afoot, and both angel and demon alike are going to complicate things in every way imaginable.  So, what does the new promo reveal?

'Supernatural' season 8 is nearly upon us with its October 3 premiere "We Need to Talk About Kevin," which will see the Winchester brothers teamed up once more to track down an ancient table that both Heaven and Hell want to get their hands on.  Supposedly, the new "Word of God" will have the power to close the gates of Hell and banish demons from the Earth forever, so you can bet that more than a few hands are going to be in the pot, as we see in the latest teaser.

Additionally, ‘Supernatural’ season 8 will introduce 'Stargate' vet Amanda Tapping as a major new angelic presence,  see the return of DJ Qualls’ eccentric hunter Garth, as well as ‘Futurama’ voice Lauren Tom.  ‘Battlestar Galactica’ veteran Ty Olsson will appear in the recurring role of a vampire named “Benny,” whom Dean meets during his stay in purgatory and ultimately helps him escape from said predicament.  Liane Balaban (‘Alphas,’ ‘Covert Affairs’) will appear as Sam’s new love interest Amelia, developed in the time the brothers spent separated.

Check out the new teaser below, and be sure to catch the new season of 'Supernatural' beginning Wednesday, October 3!
