On the heels of the first teaser video released a couple of days ago, we now have a full trailer for the upcoming thriller 'Nightcrawler,' starring Jake Gyllenhaal in what is sure to be a performance that'll pick up plenty of awards season attention. And just like the first teaser, this trailer makes us even more curious about Gyllenhaal's latest role.

Featuring dialogue used in the teaser, the first trailer for 'Nightcrawler' has Gyllenhaal basically delivering lines from a job interview, promising that he is a hard worker, loyal, and persistent. Just how persistent and hard-working? Well, judging by this trailer, he's going to get in a bit over his head when he endeavors to pursue a career in television news. We're particularly interested in learning how a dead body and wild car chases figure into the whole thing.

Just as enigmatic as the previous teaser, this trailer doesn't give us much, but Gyllenhaal definitely ramps up the intensity as the trailer progresses, verging on totally unhinged and manic. And if you're looking for brooding intensity, Gyllenhaal is your guy.

'Nightcrawler' stars Gyllenhaal as Lou Bloom, a man desperate for a job who gets involved in the world of L.A. crime journalism. Aided by a freelance camera crew, Lou enters the world of "nightcrawling," where tragedy and disaster are perceived as little more than dollar signs. Rene Russo and Bill Paxton also star in the film, which is the directorial debut of Dan Gilroy, screenwriter of 'The Bourne Legacy.'

'Nightcrawler' hits theaters on October 17.
