Those looking for their Nvidia Shields, which were supposed to ship on June 27, 2013 at a discount, can look forward to finally getting their handheld Android consoles next week.

Nvidia has announced that Shield will ship on July 31, 2013. The initial June 27, 2013 release had been pushed back because of a shipment delay, but now early adopters will be able to get their hands on the tiny behemoth.

The Shield runs on the Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and can play Android and PC games, movies, music and much more with 720p graphics. The ability to stream PC games over Wi-Fi should be especially attractive to PC gamers who want the freedom of taking their beefy games on the go, even if it's just right down the hall. And Android lovers will feel right at home thanks to the Shield's integration with Google Play.

Let us know what you think about the Shield and whether or not you'd love to get your hands on one.
