Disney kept Star Wars Rebels out of Comic-Con 2015 and only had so much to offer at D23, but us New Yorkers are in for a treat come NYCC in October. Not only will New York Comic-Con screen the first two episodes of Star Wars Rebels Season 2, but so too have we intercepted the Empire’s panel plans.

According to Disney, Star Wars Rebels will make its New York Comic-Con presence felt with a panel on Thursday, October 8, taking place on the Empire Stage from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M., complete with a few “special guests.” Two new episodes will also screen at the same locale at 5:30 P.M., picking up with some of the Clone Wars gang glimpsed in the photo above.

So reads the official Star Wars Rebels Season 2 synopsis:

As the second season of Star Wars Rebels opens, the crew of the Ghost is now considered a very real threat to the Empire and has caught the attention of Darth Vader himself. Undeterred, the rebels seek out old friends and add powerful allies to their cause, forming the beginnings of a more formidable alliance against the Empire. To stop them, Vader will dispatch new agents to hunt down their growing coalition, determined to snuff them out before they can ignite a galaxy to rebellion.

In addition to the return of Clone Wars favorites Captain Rex, Ahsoka Tano and Hondo Ohnaka, the second season of Star Wars Rebels will also pave the way for an episode penned by Star Wars: Rogue One screenwriter Gary Whitta. Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar, will also lend her voice to an unknown role, speculated to be that of a young Princess Leia, while Sam Witwer will voice Emperor Palpatine.

We don’t yet have an official premiere date, but check the past Star Wars Rebels Season 2 previews below, and stay tuned for more from New York Comic-Con in October!
