ABC's 'Once Upon A Time' fans were surprised to see that the network scheduled its 13-episode spinoff series, 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland,' to run concurrently with the main series, rather than during the midseason break. Now it seems the network has yet another vote of confidence to instill in the series. Not only have additional episodes been granted to the spinoff, but a new trailer has hit the web, as well!

According to Entertainment Weekly, 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland' will air somewhere between 13 and the normal 22 episodes, outgrowing its "limited series" moniker, but still keeping to a strict storytelling plan from series creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

“We really want to tell the story without having to worry about how to stretch it for five years,” Kitsis tells EW. “The Upfront order will be it for the season.” Horowitz adds, “This is not meant to be a 22-episode season. Whatever it ends up being, we’ll have told a complete story, with a beginning, middle and end.”

'Wonderland' focuses on the romance and adventure of Alice (Sophie Lowe) and a genie named Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), leading a cast that includes ‘Being Human’ star Michael Socha as the Knave of Hearts from the classic tale, Emma Rigby as the Red Queen, and Jon Lithgow as the voice of a CG White Rabbit (replacing Paul Reubens, for unknown reasons).

Of course, Kitsis and Horowitz would be open to additional seasons of the spinoff should 'One Upon A Time in Wonderland' prove to be a hit for ABC, but for now will stick to a fairly concise vision of the story.

We'll hopefully learn more from Comic-Con, while we've also included the latest trailer for the series below. Tell us if you'll go down the rabbit hole for 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland' in the comments!
