'Orange is the New Black' Previews 'Sexiest Season By Far'

Things seems strangely quiet for Litchfield as Orange is the New Black prepares to debut all 14 (!) episodes of Season 3 this Friday, but in lieu of a new trailer, the Netflix prison drama offers a stimulating new featurette on everyone’s favorite couple. Alex and Piper generate plenty of sparks, as newcomer Ruby Rose previews “the sexiest season by far” in a new featurette.

When last we left the central couple, Piper (Taylor Schilling) had conspired to push Alex (Laura Prepon) into violating her parole, a development that quickly comes to a head upon the latter’s return to Litchfield. Apart from the renewed will-they-won’t-they tension, prison newcomer Stella (Rose) shakes things up for either inmate with her burdensome “genetic perfection,” and we get to reap all the benefits.

Already renewed for Season 4, we know of Season 3 that Justified star Mary Steenburgen will appear as Mendez’s mother, alongside fellow additions Ruby Rose, Mike Birbiglia, Fringe star Blair Brown and returning Lori Petty. Yael Stone (Morello) has been upgraded to series regular, joining Dascha Polenko (Daya), Samira Wiley (Poussey), Selenis Leyva (Gloria), Nick Sandow (Joe Caputo) and Adrienne C. Moore (Black Cindy). Laura Prepon too will return full-time, appearing in every Season 3 episode, as seen in the first trailer.
