Nicolas Cage is a serious actor. And serious actors do accents and period epics. So here's the trailer for 'Outcast,' starring Cage and someone whose name you used to remember, Hayden Christensen. All you really need to know is that this movie is set in China in the 12th century, where everyone speaks english and Cage's character is known as The White Ghost.

Okay, if you need to know more: Cage and Christensen are ex-warriors from the days of the Crusades, who are tapped by the children of a deposed Chinese emperor to stop their tyrannical uncle. Nick Powell, who worked as a stunt coordinator on 'The Bourne Identity' and 'Resident Evil: Retribution,' makes his directorial debut here, so at least maybe there will be some good stunts?

The movie definitely seems to carry the hallmarks of a wacky Nic Cage movie: crazy hair (in this case: long), questionable co-star (Christensen, formerly of 'Star Wars' prequels), Cage as a badass who answers the call of duty, and plenty of action. As an added bonus, there's Cage giving us that horribly misguided accent. Why is everyone speaking english in China? It's so you don't have to be distracted with reading subtitles and can spend more time gazing upon Cage's glorious mane.

'Outcast' hits theaters on February 27, 2015.
