One of the essential questions posed by Sam Raimi's 'Wizard of Oz' prequel story, 'Oz, the Great and Powerful,' (other than how the Wonderful Wizard became so wonderful, of course) is which of the three witches he encounters in the Land of Oz eventually becomes the most famous witch in movie history, the Wicked Witch of the West? While we've already figured out that question for ourselves, through the early 'Oz' merchandise released through the Disney store, we've got another juicy spoiler for all you fans.

Continue at your own peril...

James Franco stars in the lead role of 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' as a Kansas stage magician, Oscar Diggs, whose ballon gets sucked into a tornado and transported to Oz. After his crash landing, he encounters three witches -- Glinda (Michelle Williams), Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz) -- all of whom initially believe him to be the powerful wizard prophesied to bring peace to the land.

----- [SPOILERS BELOW] -----

While Raimi already stated that classic characters like Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion would not be making an appearance in the film, we will get to see an earlier incarnation of the infamous Wicked Witch of the West. Now some major spoilers have been discovered by the folks over at Bleeding Cool (via a Comic Forum) in the form of 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' pics, depicting the clearest view we've ever received of the Wicked Witch. So, if you want to maintain that air of mystery, STOP READING NOW!

Back in the earlier days of San Diego Comic-Con when the cast of 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' was making the press rounds, Mila Kunis teased that all the characters would go through some sort of transformation, but that hers would not have little children running up to greet her. And she wasn't kidding. Check out the up-close, non-shadowed pics of the Wicked Witch of the West below:
