'Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones' Teaser Wants You to Say Your Prayers

EDIT

We're just a few days away from the debut of 'Paranormal Activity' spinoff 'The Marked Ones,' and today the folks behind the film have debuted a brand new teaser as part of their "Scream in the New Year" campaign. Partnering with Shock Till You Drop, they've released this teaser, entitled "Prayer," to help scoot you a little closer to the edge of your seat. We've been hearing some interesting things about the upcoming spinoff, and this teaser has us excited to ring in the new year with a few screams.

The brief 17-second teaser for the Latino spin-off features some quick looks at the film while a female voice prays in Spanish throughout. We see the main character sweating in bed, people going into what appears to be some sort of prayer house or church, and various newspaper clippings on a wall with a pentagram.

'The Marked Ones' follows Jesse, who is marked by an evil force and tries with the help of his family and friends to find answers in order to stop the mysterious spirits from tormenting him. The film is directed by Christopher Landon, who wrote the second, third, and fourth 'Paranormal Activity' films and has served as a producer on the last two installments.

The spin-off stars Andrew Jacobs, Molly Ephraim, and Richard Cabral, and hits theaters on January 3.
