Sorry, this isn't a mash-up of the video game 'Hitman' and a remake of 'The Bodyguard,' though we'd really like that to happen, so if you have some money, hit us up about that.

No, 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' is the next film from 'Taken' director Pierre Morel.

According to THR, French director Pierre Morel has lined up his next effort, titled 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' over at Paramount. The film follows a hitman en route to the Hague to testify against a war criminal who also happens to be the former head of state of a European country (but which one?!). A bodyguard is brought in to escort him to the trial and ensure his safety. Yes, a hitman needs the protection of a bodyguard.

We can only hope this goes 'Brokeback Mountain' and finds the two falling in love. May we suggest Tom Hardy and Bradley Cooper? They'd have the cutest adopted babies.

Morel's first film was 'District B13,' which he followed up with the hit 2009 film 'Taken,' starring Liam Neeson as a father with a very particular set of skills who goes after some bad dudes who kidnap his daughter. Morel also directed 'To Paris with Love,' starring John Travolta.
