Announced during E3 2013, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare puts a new spin on the popular franchise by putting you in the shoes of the various plants or zombies on a battlefield of rural landscapes. Though PopCap and EA had been secretive about its release date, we now know when Garden Warfare will release on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Debuting first on Microsoft's consoles, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will release on Feb. 18, 2014 on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. "Gamers across the world have fallen in love with the Plants vs. Zombies characters and now they’ll get to see them in an entirely new light,” said Brian Lindley, Producer on Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. "Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare give the series’ fans and shooter players a fun, new experience that they’ll both enjoy as they blast, chomp and laugh their way through co-op and head-to-head online action.”

There are ten different playable maps, all rendered using the Frostbite 3 engine, each of which is capable of hosting 12v12 matches. There's also a four-player co-op mode included in both versions, however the Xbox One will also be home to local split-screen and Boss Mode. The Xbox One version will retail for $39.99, while the Xbox 360 version will be available for $29.99.
