Last night we got our first look at 'Divergent', the latest young adult book series to make a high-profile transition to the big screen. Everyone involved is betting on this movie being the second coming of 'The Hunger Games', but does it actually have what it takes?

There's no doubt that 'Divergent' aspires to be 'The Hunger Games' in practically every way. Both tell similar tales of futuristic societies divided into unique sections, both feature a strong female lead played by an on-the-rise actress, and both make their way to movie theaters boasting millions of book and e-book sales. There are dozens of fan sites devoted to 'Divergent', just as there were (and still are) for 'The Hunger Games', and the same distributor (Lionsgate) will release the new film.

But here's the thing: launching a YA franchise on the big screen isn't as easy as it seems: just ask 'Beautiful Creatures' and 'The Mortal Instruments'. While 'Divergent' certainly appears to be a more ambitious product, there's every chance that the audience just won't be there when it hits theaters in March.

So, what do you think? Will 'Divergent' be the next 'Hunger Games' in terms of anticipation and ultimate box office success? Vote in our poll and comment below!
