Seems like everyone's getting in on the action for Super Bowl 2014: 'Pompeii,' the new film from Paul W.S. Anderson (best known for the 'Resident Evil' franchise), has released a spot for this Sunday's big game. It's no 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' or 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' that's for sure -- but hey, it's still got plenty of action, and knowing Anderson, it could be pretty nuts.

Anderson's latest stars Kit Harington of 'Game of Thrones,' Carrie-Anne Moss of the 'Matrix' trilogy, Emily Browning of 'Sucker Punch' fame, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje, Paz Vega, Jessica Lucas, Jared Harris, and Kiefer Sutherland of all people -- if that's not a cast of people worth seeing assembled all together at the same time, we're not sure what is.

The official synopsis:

Set in 79 A.D.,  Pompeii tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

The film hits theaters on February 21.
