Sure, our lives have all been pretty weird of late, considering the storms that flood the tri-state area one week and drench them in snow the next. Disney announces both its purchase of 'Star Wars' and a revival of 'Boy Meets World,' amid other elements that while weird, just aren't Portland weird. Thankfully, Portland weird will be back in our lives sooner than we thought, as IFC's 'Portlandia' has officially set its return, along with an advance winter special!

Fred and Carrie truly love you, so much so that they're willing to debut the third season of IFC's quirky comedy a full month ahead of schedule! Sort of. In addition to setting a season 3 premiere date of Friday, January 4 with back-to-back episodes, off-beat comedy 'Portlandia' will also debut a winter special on December 14, the first time the show has shot Portland outside of the summer months.

Aptly titled "Winter in Portlandia," the special episode will deal with Peter and Nance gaining some winter weight, Candace's son visiting the feminist bookstore, and a new hotel for the "Put A Bird On It!" duo. 'Portlandia' proper's third season will feature Kyle MacLachlan returning as the city's eccentric mayor, as well as recent 'American Horror Story: Asylum' star Chloe Sevigny shacking up with Fred and Carrie.

But that's not all! Check out an all-new sketch from the winter 'Portlandia' special, and keep it weird in the comments below!
