In the Brat Pack classic 'Pretty in Pink' a girl from the wrong side of the tracks (Molly Ringwald) has to chose between the rich but good-hearted Blane (Andrew McCarthy) or her geeky long-time buddy Duckie (Jon Cryer). It's a bonafide 80s classic. See what the cast of 'Pretty in Pink' is up to 27 years after one of their biggest movies hit theaters.

Then: Molly Ringwald solidified her role as John Hughes' go-to leading lady by starring in 'Pretty In Pink' as working class high schooler Andie. Ringwald had previously been in the Hughes films 'Sixteen Candles' and 'Breakfast Club' and had made her screen debut on an episode of 'Diff'rent Strokes.'

Now: Ringwald is enjoying her highest profile role since the Hughes-era as mom Angie Jurgens on 'The Secret Life Of An American Teenager.' The 45-year-old is married to writer Panio Gianopoulos and they have three children.

Then: We were all pulling for Duckie to end up with Andie. But, alas, it wasn't to be for Jon Cryer's Otis Redding-loving character. (Ringwald recently floated the theory that Duckie was gay, although Cryer disagrees with this interpretation.) Cryer got his start on Broadway (he took over the lead in 'Torch Song Trilogy' from Matthew Broderick) and in 1984 made his movie debut opposite Demi Moore in the romantic comedy 'No Small Affair.'

Now: Since 2003, Cryer has played sad sack to Charlie Sheen and then Ashton Kutcher's alpha males on 'Two and a Half Men,' a role which has garnered Cryer two Emmys. The 48-year-old married entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner in 2007.

Andrew McCarthy, Blane McDonnagh

Then: Andrew McCarthy played rich kid Blane, who has mutual feelings for Andie. A member of the notorious "Brat Pack," McCarthy had starred in 'Class' and 'St. Elmo's Fire' and would go on to lead roles in 'Mannequin' and 'Weekend at Bernie's.'

Now: When McCarthy is not acting ('Lipstick Jungle,' 'White Collar') or directing ('Gossip Girl,' 'Orange is the New Black') he is an award-winning travel writer.

Harry Dean Stanton, Jack Walsh

Then: Andie's understanding but unemployed single dad was played by Harry Dean Stanton. The veteran actor had been a screen presence since the '50s and was famous for off-beat and cult films such as 'Repo Man' and 'Paris, Texas.'

Now: Between 2006 and 2010, Stanton played polygamist leader Roman Grant on 'Big Love.' Since then he's had supporting roles in movies like 'Seven Psychopaths,' 'The Avengers' and 'The Last Stand.'

Annie Potts, Iona

Then: Annie Potts played Iona, Andie's quirky best friend/mother figure. Potts had been known for her role as Janine in 'Ghostbusters' and in 1986 she also began her run as Amy Jo Shively on 'Designing Women.'

Now: Potts' latest television series 'GCB,' was cancelled after one season in 2012. She will be in the upcoming movie 'Chu and Blossom.'

James Spader, Steff

Then: You surely remember James Spader's Steff, an obnoxious rich kid who has it in for Andie. The next year Spader played a sleazebag drug dealer in 'Less Than Zero' and went on to star in movies like 'Sex, Lies and Videotape' and 'White Palace.'

Now: Spader brings his smarmy charm to TV these days, thanks to memorable roles on 'Boston Legal' and 'The Office.' He also played a supporting role in the biopic 'Lincoln.'

Andrew Dice Clay, Bouncer at CATS

Then: Andrew Dice Clay was the bouncer who knew all sorts of interesting ways to smoke a cigarette. The only stand-up comic to ever sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row went on to star in 'Casual Sex' and 'The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.'

Now: Dice Clay's last big screen role was playing himself on an arc of 'Entourage' and has a role in Woody Allen's upcoming film 'Blue Jasmine.' He continues to perform his very blue style of comedy and, as you can see, still smokes cigarettes in his own unique manner.

Kate Vernon, Benny

Then: 'Falcon Crest' star Kate Vernon played popular "richie" Benny, who enjoyed giving Andie a hard time. Fun fact: Vernon is the daughter of actor John Vernon, who played Dean Wormer in 'Animal House.'

Now: Vernon was recurring character Ellen Tigh on 'Battlestar Galactica.' She will be in the movie 'Battledogs.'

Gina Gershon, Trombley

Then: In a small role, Gina Gershon was Trombley in 'Pretty in Pink.' In 1988 her career really starting going with bigger roles in 'Cocktail' and 'Red Heat.'

Now: Gershon has been recently seen on 'How To Make it America' and in the movie 'Breathless.' In 2012, she published the book "In Search of Cleo: How I Found My P---y and Lost My Mind," which is a true story about her lost cat and not, well, you know.

Kristy Swanson, Duckette

Then: While Ducky never captured the heart of Andie, he did catch the eye of a comely blonde, played by Kristy Swanson, in the movie's closing prom scene. That same year Swanson had another brief role in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off,' and in 1992 she starred in her signature role of Buffy Summers in the 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' movie.

Now: Swanson plays recurring character Marlowe on 'Psych.' In 2006 she won the reality competition 'Skating with Celebrities' and the next year married her ice partner Lloyd Eisler. They have one child.
