A ways back, FOX opted to dive even further into its revival pool than 24 or The X-Files, as rumors swirled of a possible Prison Break event series. Now, not only has the network confirmed another Prison Break in the works, but so too are original series stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell onboard.

As revealed at the ongoing TCA press tour, FOX boss Dana Walden confirmed a 10-episode revival in the works, with both Prison Break (and now Legends of Tomorrow) leads getting back to what they do best, and likely to be joined by other returning cast members. Details are scarce for the moment, though Walden offered:

I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. I don’t think [executive producer Paul Scheuring] knows exactly where he’s going over the 10-episode arc, but it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience.

Adding to that, fellow FOX head Gary Newman offered that the events of 2009's Prison Break: The Final Break would end up somewhat ignored, so as to explain Michael Scofield (Miller)’s lack of … you know, being dead. Continuity!

We’ll keep our ear to the ground for further details, but did Prison Break deserve another sentence?
