Fox really wants you guys to see this movie. 'Prometheus' isn't a hard sell to fans of Ridley Scott's original 'Alien' film (and the three sequels that followed), but for general audiences unfamiliar with 'Alien' or unaware of the threads 'Prometheus' shares with it, the dark sci-fi film might be a tougher sell.

So here's another featurette to make sure you are well educated before the film hits theaters this June!

In the video below director Ridley Scott and screenwriters Damon Lindelof and John Spaihts discuss crafting the story of 'Prometheus.' Everyone interviewed, including the cast, make it very clear that this isn't a prequel, but instead shares common thematic and cinematic elements to 'Alien.' But what we've seen in the latest trailers indicates that the two might be more intertwined than these guys are letting on.

Scott also hits hard on the more existential elements of the film, expressing that these themes are definitely more intrinsic than what we've been shown in the trailers. We've known for some time that this mission has something to do with exploring the origins of man and where we come from, but Scott discusses the future of humanity and what happens to us "after," and how valid those ideas are.

'Prometheus' is shaping up to be one hell of a sci-fi experience, and if this featurette is any indication, we're in for a much meatier film than we bargained for. And we're saying, "Bring it."
