The Vita was getting plenty of love from Sony early this Monday morning. In addition to a new model of the handheld, Sony also revealed PS Vita TV, which will allow you to play your Vita games right on your television.

Due out in Japan on Nov. 14 for ¥9954 (appx. $100), the diminutive little white box is basically a Vita without a screen or a controller. The system works with the PlayStation 3's DualShock 3 controller though, and plugs into your HDTV via HDMI. Vita TV has slots for both memory cards and games you already own, but will let you download apps, games, and use your PlayStation Plus subscription just like the actual Vita system.

More importantly, Vita TV will support the PlayStation 4 with remote play (as well as the DualShock 4), meaning even if you can't take your PS4 with you on a trip, you could certainly pack your Vita TV to keep playing. At that price, it seems like a pretty good deal. Now we just have to wait to find out when the rest of the world will be able to get their hands on one.
