Despite having Bruce Willis' name on top of the poster, 'Red' was something of a surprise hit back in 2010, mainly because it's not every day that a movie with a cast almost entirely comprised of senior citizens makes $186 million worldwide. With the sequel, appropriately titled 'Red 2,' set to being filming soon, another very cool actor is ready to join an already jam-packed cast: Neal McDonough, who you may remember as "Dum Dum" Dugan in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and from the latest season of 'Justified.'

McDonough may not have the clout of Willis or some of the other names who've joined the cast of 'Red 2' (namely Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones), but him being a part of this ensemble is a good thing for people who like consistent character actors who make a habit of turning in good performances whenever a camera is pointed at them. McDonough has had plenty of experience playing tough guys who are good at making living people become dead people, so he'll be a perfect addition to the 'Red' universe.

Here's what we know about the plot, straight from Variety:

"In this installment, Willis and company are searching for a weapon of mass destruction but must first break out the man who created the weapon from an insane asylum."

Original 'Red' writers Jon Hoebe and Erich Hoebe supplied the script and Dean Parisot is stepping into the director's position, replacing Robert Schwentke. 'Red 2' will arrive on August 2, 2013.
