The first ever Red Nose Day is coming! But, maybe you’re a little confused... What exactly is Red Nose Day?

Red Nose Day is a charity campaign dedicated to raising money for children living in poverty. The campaign has been running since 1988 in the U.K., but will be held for the first time in the United States on May 21. To help raise funds and awareness, some of your favorite stars are coming together to support the cause.

On May 21 at 8pm ET, NBC will televise the Red Nose Day fundraising event, which will feature standup comedy, exclusive Funny or Die videos, short films and live musical performances and appearances from the likes of Julia Roberts, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jodie Foster, Julianne Moore, Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Michelle Rodriguez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sienna Miller, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Leslie Mann, January Jones, Nick Offerman, Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pine, Jeff Goldblum, Billy Eichner, Martin Short, Laura Linney, Anna Kendrick and more.

So, how can you help? Visit any Walgreens or Duane Reade to make a donation to the Red Nose Day Fund, which supports non-profit organizations that help lift children and young people out of poverty in the U.S. and overseas.
